The time and cost of each grooming session depend largely on your dog's coat condition and how well it's maintained between appointments. Sticking to a regular grooming schedule keeps your pet's coat healthy and reduces the work (and cost) required each visit.

Frequent visits also allow us to catch skin irritations, coat issues, or signs of discomfort early—making treatment faster, easier, and more affordable. Most importantly, regular grooming supports your dog's overall wellness and keeps them looking and feeling their best.

Recommended grooming schedule for dogs

Dogs should be groomed regularly based on coat type, age, and lifestyle. Here's a general grooming schedule for different needs:

- Every 4-6 weeks for dogs with long hair or double coats.
- Every 6-8 weeks for dogs with short hair or smooth coats.
- Every 2-3 weeks for puppies, to help them get used to grooming.
- Every 3-4 weeks for nail trims, to maintain healthy paw pads and prevent overgrowth.

Absolutely! Fur Sure Grooming is a fully mobile dog grooming service that comes directly to your home or apartment. All services take place in our state-of-the-art grooming van parked right outside your house. It's convenient, low-stress, and personalized.

We make grooming easy and stress-free—with no call-out service fees! Our groomer arrives right on time (we'll text if there's any delay), greets your pup at your door, chats with you about any special needs, and gets started—all from the comfort of your driveway. Your dog never leaves home! 
Grooms typically take 1 to 2.5 hours, depending on breed, size, and fluff level. Once your pup is fresh and fabulous, they're returned right back to you—with a quick grooming recap just for you!

We use all-natural and pet-friendly grooming products that are used by the best groomers in the industry, free of detergents and safe for your pet. Our Mobile Salon is outfitted with top of the range equipment and your pup enjoys warm water during the grooming service for a luxury spa treatment. We do not provide hand stripping services at this time.

Yes! For everyone's safety (including yours and ours), we must have valid vaccine expiry dates on file before grooming. Colorado state law requires Rabies, Distemper & Parvo vaccinations to be up to date. To help reduce stress on your pet, please allow at least 24 hours between the vaccination and the grooming appointment.

We'd love to show you inside our van, but for your pup's safety (and our insurance's sanity), we have to say no.

Yes, we offer recurring appointments to keep your pup looking fresh and fabulous! Regular grooming means less mess, fewer tangles, and a happier pooch. We recommend booking your next appointment before we leave.

Yes, we groom large dogs. For now, we normally cap it at 75 lb. We occasionally accept bigger dogs on a case by case basis; reach out! However, we're actively working on expanding our setup to accommodate larger pups, so stay tuned!
